wazupjames
I had to remove a few pieces of live rock the other day to get some things out of my tank. I put the live rock in a container of good salt water. I had some family issues arise and I was unable to put the live rock back into the tank until today. The rock has been sitting in a container with no pump or anything just salt water. I don't want to cause another cycle by putting the rock back in the tank. Is there anything I can do to keep a cycle from occuring? Bake it in the sun? Or will it be fine since it has been in Salt water this whole time? Link to comment

Phyto4life
how long has the rock been in the stagnant water and at what temp? you definitely don't need to dry it out unless the water is black and smells really bad Link to comment
