Pigup Posted December 6, 2003 Share Posted December 6, 2003 that is not really algae, it is actually the accumulated carcasses of little dudes called diatoms, who feed on little things called silicates. it's alright if you have it covering your goods there, is the tank still cycling? if it is, then wait until you can get a good clean up crew: some hermits, possibly emerald crabs, definitely snails will eat that stuff and clean up everthing. don't worry about it.
