siskiou
On one of our GSp mats, something pink and spongy is slowly spreading. It also sends out long, whitish, rootlike growths (they stay above the sandbed). Any idea what this could be? Our digital camera is out of commission, so I can't provide a picture, unfortunately. I've searched the forums, but haven't found anything that looks similar. Siskiou Link to comment
dillinger
My GSP has been steadily covering a rock in my tank and the new growth is pink. Not sure what this would look like on the sand bed, maybe the "roots" you are seeing I wouldn't see because everything is on the rock...not sure. HTH, Adam Link to comment
siskiou
Mine is growing on a rock, too, but the "roots" grow out the top (from pink, bulby looking growths). They just kind of snake across the sandbed, and are several inches long, with side branches. Some of those later meet back up with the main "root". Siskiou Link to comment
dillinger
So...it's nothing like this, huh? When the new ones started coming out they are white, but not really long. I'm really no help at all, sorry. Link to comment
siskiou
No, nothing like it. They are 3-4 inch long, whitish "roots" that look completely unrelated to the GSPs. I've been searching forums all evening and came up with nothing like it, so far. Wish I could post a picture! Siskiou PS: Success! I just found it in a thread on RC.
