sarah_nick
Hi, I wasn't sure what topic to post this under but thought I would try this one first as it's a large tank! I have: 2 x White T5's at 40 watt each (48") 2 x Blue T5's at 40 watt each (48") 2 x White T8's at 54 watt each (48") 2 x Blue T8's at 54 watt each (48") The tank is 100 gallon with 2 large filters (one is a aquis 2259-UVC which has a UV steriliser in), a V2 800 protien skimmer, and about 90 kilo's of live rock. Thanks! Link to comment

Oh no, it's 100 gallons or thereabouts (don't ask me to do the math, I forget the conversion factor)... just not in the US ones that most people are used to. Further proof that the Imperial measurement system can bugger off and die in a hole any day now Link to comment
JDigital
111G... and at that depth with that little lighting (T8's don't put out much usable PAR), you most likely can't keep much for SPS... clams will likely require much more light as well. Your T5s sound like NO (Normal Ouput) if they are only 40W @ 48". Upgrade!!! Link to comment
Oceanus
I think he means 54w t5 and 40w t8. I'd say no. Link to comment
