Looks like an all black snail without a shell?

Hey everyone. I have noticed what looks like an all black snail or slug climbing around. It has not shell and seems to stick to climbing around on the rocks. Sorry for no picture - crappy iPhone camera can't pick it up. Thanks.

Just spotted another "thing" in the tank crawling around. This looks similar to the all black but it is white. Sorry I have no clue, but appreciate the help.

It does resemble the picture wombat posted. I take it that's not a harmful critter to leave in the tank? Thanks everyone.

 

Scutus snails are harmless algae grazers.

look up false limpet aka elephant slug and see what you come up with. It is actually a snail, but the shell remains mostly hidden, sometimes you will see a white line on the dorsal side and that is the shell.
