mcgyvr Posted December 2, 2003 Share Posted December 2, 2003 This is a list of what Ive got in the tank now and Im just wondering just for info what would sting/shock what Ive seen soo many beautiful reefs here and some of the coral have no space at all inbetween the pieces, Im wondering if I can do the same Ive got hammer coral frogspawn coral open brain coral blue mushroom green button polyps crocea clam pink flowerpots feather duster basically Im just wondering what will attack what first like if I put the frogspawn really close to the mushroom what will the outcome be?? Or in a battle between frogspawn and mushroom what will kill what. or maybe the question is better asked "whats the order of stinging power" ie.. the hammer will kill the frogspawn which will kill the mushroom, which will kill the buttons,etc.. Ive searched but all Im finding is stuff like "be careful with frogspawn, dont put it too close to other corals because it will sting the other coral and could kill it" but I want to know who will win a battle of stinging power and how bout aptasia? am I okay if the open brain touches the aptasia Link to comment
Dingo Posted December 2, 2003 Share Posted December 2, 2003 The general pecking order is: LPS kills all Mushrooms, stars and polyps coexist but kill SPS Sps are wimpy losers Leathers can trump LPS with chemical warfare if upstream of LPS Clams/featherdusters have no sting Link to comment

2manytanks Posted December 3, 2003 Share Posted December 3, 2003 hammer and frogpawn can go together...same family...mine are touching. aiptasia needs to go...else that's all you'll have. mushrooms and polyps you'll have to trim/frag..eventually. stars too. they're kinda prolific... least in mine they are....
