Toonces Posted December 2, 2003 Share Posted December 2, 2003 I have two quarter sized, tank raised Pajama cardinals (Sphaeramia nematoptera ) and the only thing I've been able to get them to eat is frozen mysis shrimp. I give them that about every other day and about 2 times a day I try feeding them Ocean Nutrition Formula One flake food. They will go and take a bit, but then just spit it out and wait for a minute then repeat. Does anyone have experiece with these fish and what foods work well? I don't really want to be springing loads of money on frozen shrimp all the time! Link to comment
BLowell Posted December 30, 2003 Share Posted December 30, 2003 I've had pretty good luck with frozen formula one, two, or brine shrimp and green marine algae. It can take a good week to get them eating regularly and they like to pick it right out of the water column. Once it hits bottom it's trash. And I haven't found a single one that likes flake food. Yours must be pretty hungry to at least try it and spit it out, cuz mine just look and laugh! Link to comment
