Using ozonized water?

Spring water normally has a very high mineral content which is what makes it taste so good. These minerals are probably not all good for a reef system though and will accumulate with time.

Stick with RO/DI which does not add any minerals to the take to accumulate and a good salt mix which will contain the right minerals in the correct amounts.

Ozone has no lasting residual so does not have any effect one way or the other as far as reef tank water is concerned. Its used as a primary disinfectant in drinking water and would be desirable in packaged/bottled water since it leaves no taste or odor like chlorine. Ozone generators can be used in reef systems but ozone only lasts a matter of seconds before it is gone.

Like AZDesertRat said the ozone is used to disinfect the spring water. There is no ozone left. Spring water is used for drinking water cause people having an intake of minerals is good, aquariums having an intake of minerals is bad.

Stick with RO/DI
