Ive kept fish for years and now i have a bigger bedroom YAY! i want to try keeping marine. ive been doing alot of reading in the past few days, thanks to alot of good sites on the subject. im looking into getting a 36x12x18 tank and putting in it 2 clownfish (hopefully with a host anemone), coral, a few cleaner shrimp and or crabs. i want to only use LR & LS and have read that this could be enough filtration wise. would it be of benifit to buy either a Fluval 204 or eheim 2213/2215??? i dont want to spend all my £ on a tank and mess it up but going the wrong way about it! thanks in advance for any help or comments! mark Link to comment
maroonclown Posted December 1, 2003 Share Posted December 1, 2003 No on the anemone. They just aren't good survivors. If you want something for your clowns to host in, get a leather coral. You have no need for a canister filter. You only need Live rock, a skimmer, and a few powerheads. You should also run a hang on power filter and run carbon in it. HTH Link to comment
