Crakeur
I came across a set-up called the Nurce which looks like it might work real well and was wondering if anyone has one or if anyone has set something similar up. The Nurce is a bit large for a nano (6.4 gallons) but it might not be a bad idea for vacations. Here's a link to the manufacturer. http://www.aqualan.to/ Forgot to mention that two different versions are currently on ebay, both for under $75 (one with a few other items thrown in). any thoughts would be appreciated - except the one's that come to you through the dog. Thanks, Crakeur Link to comment
reefriot
the nurce is a great product a little small for a large tank. i used to go thru about 5gals. a day of topoff on my larger tank. if your a handy DIY you can make one of these cheap by using a 5-10gal glass tank and using a peice of acrylic for the top. heres a link to some good DIY projects http://saltaquarium.about.com/cs/doserwatertopofdiy/ Link to comment
Crakeur
They make larger ones for larger tanks that can handle two different dosing chemicals. Not sure if I have the patience to try and build my own. I am liable to screw it up and spend the same amount as the cost of buying one. Although, I did manage to install those pc lights so maybe it is worth a shot. I'm not planning any trips other than the three day weekend until Labor Day and by then the evaporation shouldn't be as much of a problem. Link to comment
second2n0ne
Sounds like a good product...no moving parts is a plus. I don't like the fact it has to sit level with your tank. I use a product called the EasyGuard 3. Check out http://www.easyguard3.com for details. It does use a sensor and pump. During the 3 months of owning it, it has been extremely reliable. In addition, it has a button that will turn off your pumps during feeding and turn them back on after 10 mins. Link to comment
