caja
Personally I've never used it myself, but several people have used the different types of bagged live sand with good results. Keep in mind though that the bagged LS doesn't have any worms or anything in it. A good place to get critters to diversify your sandbed is www.ipsf.com Link to comment
nalbar
i used it in my tank. i followed the directions and just put it in without rinsing. everything went fine. nalbar Link to comment
Physh1
Yup...it's good stuff...shouldn't see any cycle but remember there are no critters so caja's recommendation is a good one. Cameron Link to comment
T11mog
would just getting a clean up crew from my LPS do it? my dad's 150 gallon reef tank (ill post a pic sometime...its awsome) he used the stuff and i guess there were worms in it...but i might order somestuff from that site...im not really that big on ordering critters from a website.. nalbar
well, that particular web site wants you to email them your credit card #. that is just crazy imo. they have all these fine products and ruin it with a poor business model. nalbar Link to comment
Physh1
Any worms or critters that occupy that sand would come from your live rock. There is nothing but bacteria in the packaged bio-active live sand. Yoyu don't need to buy a kit from ispf.com to get critters but it's an option to boost your sand. Cameron Link to comment
sukeband
I used it on my 12 gallon cube and still had a cycle, go figure. Test like a madman! Don't start stocking until you're sure the cycle's over. Link to comment
