RJ
I have a brown dusting that covers the sides of the tank. It wipes off easily, almost like a powder. Do you know what is causing this and how to avoid it. I use distilled water only. 20 gal live rock crushed coral clark clown long tentacle anemone blue damsel a couple of feather dusters and sponges (compliments of the live rock) 4 months old and doing well Link to comment
Sahin
Hmm..not sure what it is. Brown dust is it like diatoms? Or is it actually dust/debris stuff thar could be collecting? I really am not sure. Link to comment
RJ
I know I am probably not the first to have a rust colored covering on the sides of my tank, or at least I hope I am not. I use a phosguard in my filter, but doesn't seem to be helping, it only takes a day for the sides of my tank to be covered in a coating. It brushes off easily like a powder. Anyone?? something I can add to my filter? Link to comment
jay2k2
could be diatoms but the tank is too old?! maybve just old fashion brown alage?! Link to comment
