tinyreef Posted November 27, 2003 Share Posted November 27, 2003 hellolights.com has good & cheap selections. championlighting.com is another good source. a basic option is a PC setup. i'd go with at least two bulbs to allow for spectrum selection (actinic, daylight, 50/50). coral selection is really up to the individual. softies are probably a better (easier) choice for people starting out. they also tend to be cheaper on the average with lower lighting requirements. i also prefer them for their swaying and movements in the water currents. more 'alive-looking' imo.
