agoerl
The one thing I am conserned about is the lighting for my 5 gallon tank. It is the one thing I am not shure about, when starting my first sw tank. I currently have a floresent light hood that was purfect for fresh water but not shure if it will work for a marine tank. I would like to know any ideas on what the proper lighting should be, and how to set up. Link to comment
blk_g20
all depends on what you want to keep. SPS and clams need more light compared to soft corals. if you have fish only then your hood will probably work just fine. Link to comment
agoerl
I was thinking or starting with one fish and a few inverts like a shrimp or some small hemit crabs or star fish first and then possibly add some coral later on. Their is only one lfs in my area that sells coral and it is expencive, so I want to try fish only for the fist few months. Also if I am patient I may be able to get some corals from a friend who has just started a 75 gallon salt water tank not to long ago Link to comment
