lazeelegs Posted November 26, 2003 Share Posted November 26, 2003 i have an eclipse 12 and i am considering a new filter system,,i am using the standard eclipse minus the u know what,,, i am looking at maybe underwater filters,,the eclipse doesn't give a lot of room,, any suggestions?? Crakeur Posted November 26, 2003 Share Posted November 26, 2003 I'm not familiar with the eclipse systems but you shouldn't need any additional filtration beyond the live rock and sand. a powerhead or two for motion should suffice. If you feel the need for additional filtration, a hob (do they work with the eclipse set up?) would suffice. remember, these are small tanks and the less in them the better. Link to comment

caja Posted November 26, 2003 Share Posted November 26, 2003 Easy enough to dremel out a portion of the back of the hood to accomodate an HOB. Aquaclear 200 or 300 for a 12 gallon would do it. Link to comment
