enio
I photographed this ugly critter at night while scavenging around the live rock. I estimate its length to be about 3-4 inches. Any feedback as to what type of worm this is will be appreciated. Link to comment

LITTLEFISHEE
My money is on the pistol or mantis shrimp. The one in my tank used to stretch out like a worm. It confused me, but it was indeed a pistol shrimp. Do you hear any snaps coming from your tank? Link to comment
lgoins
definately not any type of shrimp. More than likely a bristleworm. Certainly looks like one. Link to comment
CrocoDillon
Never seen such a dark coloured bristle worm, make sure it's reef safe... cute little crab on the first pic too Link to comment
enio
I must agree with lgoins, this is definitely not a shrimp. I think it is a Eunicidae worm. Can anybody confirm this? Link to comment
caja
I agree, looks alot like the collar worm from the Eunicidae family. http://www.aquarium.net/0198/0198_2.shtml Link to comment
LITTLEFISHEE
My bad:blush: It looked like a pistol to me in the 2nd and 3rd pics. I thought the one I had was a worm until I broke the rock open and saw a shrimp. Link to comment

fourhand2
Well, it's bristly and it's a worm. So it's a bristle worm. This is no scientific term, granted... -Will Link to comment
