smaug
I want clams!! I have a 55 and a 37 gallon tanks but cant afford lighting to support clams. So my question is this with a 10 gallon tank and a POS HOB filter(topfin 60), a heater and 20 lbs of live sand what more would be needed for a nano in equipment. I know lights but how much, 70 watt MH?? Skimmer?? Link to comment

caja
I would suggest getting a decent HOB like an Aquaclear 300 or 500 for a 10 gallon tank. You'll also need a couple powerheads. Microjet makes some pretty powerful small profile PH's for fairly inexpensive. Don't forget LR, you can go about 15-20 pounds or so. Test kits: pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate. Thermometer to keep track of the tank temp. Hydrometer to keep track of salinity. Hmmm, I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Link to comment
