lizbeth
Looking good, big but good! Nice canopy and base. What are they made out of? Link to comment
MattGecko
I mainly used oak & scraps of wood I had laying around. The wood on the base only covers the front. It's attached to the plastic base with screws. Link to comment
Korbin
Really nice tank. That candycane coral is pants! Link to comment
Christopher Marks
Very Nice Matt! I like the aquascaping, as well as the canopy & base. Link to comment
Djm9288
Its probably an error on your part, but your salinity is very low Link to comment
Sahin
A very nice tank. Quite a pleasure to look at. I agree, nice layout too. Link to comment

stephen
I saw it attached to the powerhead, and was intrigued Did you make it yourself, or is it store bought? Link to comment
MattGecko
Stephen, I had a some hard plastic tubing left over from my Ehiem pro II filter (for my FW tank). I use the return piping, suction cups & end cap from the pro II filter. Cut it, drilled holes in it & used soft plastic tubing as a spacer on the power head. There's no dead spots in the tank & it can never fall as the power head is half way berried in the sand. The intake for the AquaClear worked out good also. I bought the real AquaClear skimmer attachment but it was to large. I made one using the u-bend pipe. On low it sucks below the surface. When its on hi it skims the surface & blows small bubbles in. heero
Nice looking tank! I was just wondering what kinda magnet you have off to the right. I like how it's very thin and doesn't take up too much room. Also wondering where you got it at and how much. Thanks Link to comment
MattGecko
The magnet is a small "Twister" its a cheap one. It works ok on glass, I wouldn't recomend it for plexi. Link to comment
fishymissy
Excellent tank Matt! I just wish someone could resize the photos........anyone? Anyway, it's looking very good:) Link to comment
MattGecko
I found some picture software on Cnet. Unfortunately its only a 30 trail. Pic's are much better now. Link to comment
fishymissy
That IS much better! Those bow fronts are nice looking tanks...beautiful job!! Link to comment
Joe
Great Looking tank! Is that bubble algae in there though?? I would remove that before it takes over the tank. The easiest way to rid your tank of that stuff is pull it out with tweezers but be careful not to break them. My tank got bubble algae at first but now its gone because I removed it carefully. My next problem is aptista amenomes comming up I have 3 of them so far but they are going to be elminated soon also because im gonna get a peppermint shirmp and I hear they eat them. Link to comment
MattGecko
Yes, I have all three types of bubble algae. Ill have to star plucking it out. I also had the aptista's but used a syringe with an extra strong dose of kalk. It worked great!!!! Link to comment
jtown
are purple nudibranch's nano reef safe? Link to comment
MattGecko
The LPS said they were reef safe. It never bothered anything in the tank. Poor little guy got himself stuck in the filter intake & died over the weekend. Link to comment
jdiver
Very nice tank, and that is a gorgeously colored clown. I really like the candy cane coral as well. Link to comment
