Tigahboy
Any ideas? Very small (so couldn't get a great photo of it), conical shell, multiplying, and only see it on tank walls at night (when lights are off). Link to comment

lakshwadeep
Did you see it eat algae off the glass? Link to comment

Tigahboy
Did you see it eat algae off the glass? I'll look more carefully tomorrow. They are so tiny, so it's hard to see. Link to comment
Tigahboy
I tried to see if they are eating algae, but they are SO tiny that I couldn't see anything. I need to get a magnifying glass or something. Link to comment
johnmaloney
hard to tell from that picture, but try a pheasant shell Link to comment
Tigahboy
Yes! From the snail guru himself! Do pheasant snails stay small tho? The shells do look similar. But these guys are tiny and multiplying pretty fast. Looks like they are eating off the glass tho. I also see tiny round white shelled snails. They look like tiny tegulas (I do have a dozen adult tegula snails as well). Can tegulas reproduce in the tank readily? Link to comment
johnmaloney
yep, they stay small. a good guy, it is a relative of the dwarf planaxis if I am not mistaken. I have some scurrying about in my tanks right now as a matter of fact. They eat film algae and probably diatoms. (Just never tested them with diatoms). I will check out which one you have, I used to remember the species name but 1am came around, and since then it has been a blur. I am not familiar with tegulas, sorry, never owned them.
