Crakeur Posted November 19, 2003 Share Posted November 19, 2003 black and blue sand? beat the crap out of it? the life on your rock should eventually work its way into the substrate. you can speed this up and add greater diversity of life by snagging a cup of live sand (or two or more) from other people's tanks.
