Hardrive
OK guys I'm diving in today with a basic rectangular 10 Gal. I have a wisper filter for up to 10 Gal. I will be starting my cycling tonight should I remove the Media or leave it in the filter? Link to comment
adinsxq
the media contains some activated carbon which will he helpful with your cycle ... by cycle i'm assuming you're adding sand and rock to your tank right? after you get the tank stable, the media is not necessary and should be removed. Hardrive
Yes Live rock and sand The reason I ask is because I read somewhere here that if you remove the media that it will also take some good bactiria with it. BTW thanks for the quick responce ) Link to comment
kennerd
Yep: leave it in: will help to remove particulate matter from stirring sand, etc. Link to comment
