however,

 

four pins ( . . . . )

 

you should have four wires coming out of your ballast

 

two (one black, one white) connect to your power cord -> power supply (wall)

 

the other two divide evenly (first two, one color; last two, other color)

 

this is assuming that your ballast is rated for one CFL.

Unfortunately I don't have a model of the Ballast, its Australian made....I bought it from a local lighting supplier. Sometimes I wonder if they know what they are doing as they weren't 100% sure if it was the right ballast. The ballast was rated for 18/20 watt fluro (does it need to be a different ballast, the lamp is 18 watts)

I'll have a look at the ballast again tonight.
