tdsounds
Dunno whats going on guys but I recently had some slimy spots on my maze. to look ate up. I didn't think that anything was going to happen. I came back from work today and saw that 1/4 of my green maze coral is eaten up. I see a brown slimy thing on it. Just awhile when the lights are out I shined a light on it and saw some big pods all over the place. The size of some insects. Should I be worried about those pods? I hope that is not the culprit. So far I have no fish in my tank right now. Water quality is all good. Al of my frogspawn, and other brains are fine. 18 gall via aqua 150 de 10k aquaspacelight fuge 15lbs lr 30ls Link to comment
JohnnyMTB
Are you sure they're pods? Could be nudi's or planaria. Try to throw the lights on and snap a pic. Link to comment
Yves
They probably were pods and are after the rotting coral. Link to comment
tdsounds
are they any causes for a coral to rot? Link to comment

kennerd
Bring a turkey baster with you to work and blow off the necrosed tissue: this will hopefully help to stop the spread. Link to comment
Yves
I too like the turkey baster but I usually use it to suck the nasty's from the rock and remove it from the tank you can also use a coral dip...like kent's tech-d, coral accell also seems to help ailing corals, its mostly sugar water with a few growth stimulants. good luck -Yves Link to comment
