disaster999 Posted September 2, 2009 Share Posted September 2, 2009 did you test your salt mix to see what the calc level is? what brand of salt you using? if your newly made salt water has ridiculous amounts of calc, then i would suggest you change salt brands Link to comment

nano-reefer1 Posted September 3, 2009 Author Share Posted September 3, 2009 was doseing lol im new so yeah but so i noticed every thing in my tank getting mad and shrivel up so i took some water to the lfs and he almost craped him self and asked me if there was anything alive in my tank lol so no more doseing but my ca is still 680 after 2 wc of 50% and i cant do any more without putting my tank i shock Link to comment

disaster999 Posted September 4, 2009 Share Posted September 4, 2009 as for lowering your calc. theres nothing much you can do but wait it out and do water changes. what salt mix are you using? you might want to use salt with lower calcium levels like instant ocean and red sea salt which is catered more towards fish only tanks.
