AStarWithin
My chaetomorpha is leaving behind a powdery substance that collects on the bottom of the refugium. However, yt doesn't make the water cloudy. Is this bad? It looks fine and the water tests have been on par. Link to comment
tinyreef
do you mean as the plant tissue actually dissolves or it's exuding a pile of this powder? how is the powder forming from the chaeto or is it just collecting near the algae? Link to comment
AStarWithin
I have the spaghetti in a like shower caddy type thing on the side of the tank. The powder is collecting at the bottom of it. Link to comment
emokid
Is it brown? Sounds like detritus--the intricate maze of low flow created by the Chaeto causing organic particles in your refugium to clump and settle. Maybe? Link to comment
