bonn70
Hello, Well I have had the usual cyano outbreak associated with my tank cycling and a bit of overfeeding.I cleaned up all I could get to on the sand bed and some on my rock, did a 50% w/c., and then started running phospure.I have also cut down on my feedings. How long until I see results? I see new areas of cyano showing up again. It has been about a week now.Water chemistry below. No phosphate or calcium tests yet. ammonia-0 nitrate-0 nitrite-0 ph-8.4 alk-test high on dip strip test , no numbers given temp.-79 salinity-1.026 Link to comment
Urchinhead
adjust your flow so you get more over the sand bed. Continue manual removal. Consider using erythromycin to treat it. Hunker down for a bit because its going to take a while. If you do a 50% water change then you lower phosphates by 50%ish so there's still stuff there. Link to comment
