Thane
Hi all, I have a quick question, my girlfriend has booked me a pom-pom for my tank and I read in the coral info bas that it need medium to high lighting, would 11w PC + 14w 50/50 pc be enough for a JBJ 12 Gallon tank or will I have to upgrade the lighting? Thanks in advance Link to comment

reefsrule
Do pom poms grow to much for a small tank? Link to comment
cblack
I don't know about pom pom xenia specifically, but I have some pulsating xenia in my 10g and it does need to be fragged or trimmed back at least once every couple of weeks. After it was comfortable in the tank it started growing and attaching to things like crazy (including attaching to the glass, I may try to do something nifty with that, not sure yet). I gave away four frags of it just Sunday night. It really does become a "xenia forrest" quite easily in my experience. Link to comment
brahm
Pom Pom xenia is the slowest growing xenia from what I heard it grows 1/5th as fast as the other xenias Link to comment
Thane
Great, now I feel so much better about keeping it :-) Link to comment
supernip
growth is moderate. Maybe a new stalk per 2-3weeks? Its fun to watch and is rather pretty actually Have fun! Link to comment
