laserman24
I dont know why my fish keep dying. My ph, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, temp and salt are all fine. My clown lasted a month and then I got a fire fish, he lasted only 2 days. Both times my cleaner shrimp and 4 hermits crap are eating him. Would they kill a fish? My setup is a 10g, 13lbs LR, LS 10 lbs and its been running for 2 months now. I got two feather dusters, 6 snails, 4 hermit craps and a cleaner shrimp. Nothing else has died except the two fish. blk_g20
when you say your levels are fine, what exactly are their values? or maybe your LFS got a bad batch of fish...twice... Link to comment
laserman24
nitrate = 0 nitrite = 0 NH = 0 PH is 7.8 right now, but it goes up and down all day, is that normal? temp 80 SG 1.023 Link to comment
mattie
ph should be above 8.0 aim for 8.2 cleaner shrimps and hermits can not take down a fish but maybe a coral banded shrimp i'm not sure the cause for your fish loss Link to comment
ViolentBliss
Sometimes evil gnomes come and steal your firefish. Sometimes fish get sad and die. I wouldn't put any fish in a 10 gallon. Stick with corals and inverts. Get some buffer for your ph. Shouldn't be below 8, but it is normal to fluctuate. Link to comment
