Guest AbSoluTc
Here is the scoop. I bought some LR and brought it home - 2 weeks ago I did not have time to use it or put it anywhere so its still sitting in the bag. Mostly dried up. Do you think there will be any problems with adding it to my 28 gallon that is currently setup? Link to comment
NanoReefer53
If you are sure that most of it has died off, I would scrub it to take off all the dead tissues. If not, ammonia and nitrate spikes. Link to comment
lizbeth
No way. Do you have a tank or bucket you could let it cycle in? At least till the worst of the spike is over? Link to comment
HuBu
leave it in a bucket or rinse the rock out. wouldnt want it to spike the levels in your tank. Link to comment
Kapelakin
Yep. It will have major die-off and you'll need to scrub the dead stuff off, then let it cure in a bucket, etc, with a powerhead for a couple weeks. Link to comment
WillyWonka
after live rock is cured can you add it in a tank without spiking levels? Link to comment
