Iphantom
does anyone have any opinions on what if any the effect of the rapid decrease of copepods due to the addition of my scooter bleeny will be? I was thinking of giving back to my friend because i am worried about the effects on my tank but on the other hand even if I cant keep him alive at least he will be living out his life in a nice reef tank and not the crappy tanks at the lfs or someone Else's fish only tank hopefully adding a fuge and amphipod culture will sustain his life ... any ways what are your thoughts about the original question? if they are negative then I will give him to a friend of mine who has a bigger reef-and get a clown what do you think? thanks -Matt Link to comment
MrConclusion
No bad effect, as long as there's something the blenny can/will eat in the future. Link to comment
mattie
no negaitve effects to have an ultra low pod pop untill you get everthing up and running you can get some live brine from the lfs and suppliment him 1-2 brine with a dropper 3-6 times a day just to keep him feed if he will at least eat em that will show a good sign for his survival Link to comment
Korbin
One thing I have noticed: After adding a pod-munching fish, I notice an almost clear, fluffy layer of scum on my rocks. Like an algae. I think the pods eat that stuff. Link to comment
birdman204
If you get a fuge, it wont be seeded for at least 2 weeks to be somewhat productive. But if the scoot does eat other things, you should be fine. Link to comment
