onthefly
Obviously, I've seen SPS slime up when you frag them, and with some called "Slimers" this question might too easy. So I started feeding my tank with cyclopeeze. So far everything (Zoo's, shrooms, softies, and SPS) seems to be responding well. However, when I give my Blue A. millipora a shot of CE, it secretes a ton of snot!:x I can see the CE getting caught in it....seems natural.....but the snot rockets break off and drift around the tank posing a issue of excess nutrients. Is this normal feeding behavior? I ordered some DT's so starting next week I'm going to start alternating. Gracias - Link to comment
skeletor
Sounds like you scared the crap out of it. Try just feeding the tank, rather than target feeding your SPS, and preferably at night. -skeletor- Link to comment
kennerd
What are you mixing the cyclopeeze with to baste? RO water or tank water? RO or tap water may cause it to get snooty. Snooty? Snotty. Link to comment
onthefly
Well, I mixed in tank water and "very gently" sprayed it with CE. Like I said, everything is responding well. That particular Acro never browned up on me, has great polyp extension, and have lots of new tissue and branch growth. Since feeding, another acro that lost it's purple tips, has begun to color up. Whether it is a result of the CE or just acclimating to my who knows? Thanks! Link to comment
