I still planning my new system. On e-bay I found a (2) 40w fixture with moon lights (around $99.0). I was planning to getting a 15 gal H, but may be leaning toward a standard 20. The difference is I need to make a desision on the size, the 20 gal is 24" and the 15 gal is 20". Any suggestions?

i have the 15H and i love it! it's high enough to have the large tank look but still small enough to fit on a desk.

 

that said, the 20g is easier to equip because of the size, as i think you already suspected. the 15H really only allows VHO or MH lighting. you can't really put enough PC over it due to the physical parameters. i only went with the VHO because the 18" exists. if it didn't i would've gone MH or 20g. hth
