AStarWithin
Can anyone help me with this? I just want to know if I should use the actinic with the 50/50 and daylight bulb during the day.... Link to comment
MrConclusion
Yes, use all of your lights during the day. There is no reason to dim down the daylight cycle! You have 33 watts, which is moderately low lighting for a 10 gallon reef anyway... so use it all! I have 10 gallon tanks running with: a. 175 watt MH - 10,000K b. 150 watt HQI MH - 13,000K c. 96 watt 50/50 PC d. 2x28 watt PC, one actinic/one 10,000K ...and none of these are overly bright. You will have no problem running all of your lights! You may want to have a separate time to make the actinic-only bulb come on 30-90 minutes before the main lights, and stay on 30-90 minutes afterward. This will give you a dusk/dawn effect, but this isn't necessary. Link to comment
