aggiereefer
ive noticed a funny smell coming from the tank, its not the raw sewage smell that alot of people talk about. It's more like something is kinda burning. I can't pinpoint the smell. Ive smelled the air being blown out of my lights and it's fine. What might be causing this smell? Link to comment
Ike
I don't have a clue, except that it really might be something burning!!! Check everything electrical, including the sockets that everything is plugged into. I'd hate to read that you had a fire. That would suck. Ike Link to comment
fawkes027
Yeah make sure you didn't splash anything electrical or what not. Link to comment
palaegic
Lights, powerheads, in tank heaters are all suspect. Basic stuff: make sure your heater is completely removed, make sure none of your pumps are running dry. You are newly setup correct? I say unplug everything and let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes. Either remove the equipment and see if it passes the sniff test, or start plugging items back in, waiting several minutes between plugging in the next successive item to eliminate the culprit. Good luck, stay grounded. Link to comment
