nycxaro Posted November 4, 2003 Share Posted November 4, 2003 hey guys, lookin to make one of these nano reefs. i need advice on choosing the tank to get started with. is the minibow5 or eclipse6 better? are these tanks recomended or should i just buy a regular tank and add a filter to it? if so, what filter is best for a 5 gallon reef tank? thanks for your help Link to comment

So play nice and don't bite the hand that feeds you. My suggested setup for you: - 10 gallon all glass tank - CPR Backpack skimmer or if you want to go skimmerless a CPR backpack refugium - Dual 32 watt ABS Hood - One Rio 600 pump for circulation - One 50 watt Tronic heater And I also suggest that you utilise EBAY as much as possible for these purchases except the 10 gallon tank (10 bucks at Petco). LFS's (Local Fish Store's) will rape you on full retail. -Acoustic Link to comment
