cliffrouse11baseball
I just purchased my canon g5 and i am very dissapointed so far. I can not get upclose to anything unless it is against the glass. I thought this was a good camera for macro, but either i have not figured it out yet or I was wrong. I have seen some close up pics with the g3 but not the g5. Any tips would be appreciated... Link to comment
dickie52
It says macro from 2" to 20"..... I found with my G2....I had to pick up some 2x....3x and 4x.....add on lens..... It is very sensitive and demands a tripod and a good eye to focus... Link to comment

JohnnyMTB
I have a G3 and even without the additional macro lens I get nice macro pics. This may sound stupid, but are you switching the camera to macro mode? I do most of my pics in manual focus, don't like waiting for the auto focus to figure things out and I get clearer images.
