darwin604
I just picked up a star polyp frag on a peice of LR today and its got some small tubes on it made of sand. After watching it for a bit each of these tubes sends out a long clear 'tentacle' and seems to grab peices of my sand / other stuff off the bottom and suck it in. It seems to be adding to its tube. I'm familiar with featherdusters and stuff but these seem almost like mini tube anemones with one single long tentacle each (only these ones are only about 1/2 inch long at most and a few millimeters thick). . what are they?? d. tinyreef
could be a terrebellid(sp?) worm. (i spell 'em like i hear 'em ) there's another worm that only has two tentacles and is predominantly a substrate dweller (i always forget the name X) ). but i would guess that it's the 'terrible' worm. they're actually helpful imo. clean up loose crappie and look kewl. hth Link to comment
