HeyJay
Any opinions on the best way to light a 6ft tank with a center brace? Pretty much rules out the standard 3 MH setup. Right now I'm planning on 2 250W halides about a foot apart, and then 65 PC's on the ends to even out the lighting. This is in addition to T5 actinics across the front and back. Would it be better to remove the PCs and space out the halides more? I'm worried 2 lights wont provide enough coverage. Link to comment

121a
how deep and what do you want too keep? I would say T-5s all the way for this if it is not too deep. 8 36" bulbs would cover very well and you could keep LPS and some SPS. If you already have the halides i would say get the lumen brights/max (whatever it is) and center it with the opening (between the brace). Ditch the PCs, use the T-5 for actinics/ati blue plus bulbs.
