el pez Posted November 2, 2003 Share Posted November 2, 2003 word, undergravel filters are only good on a freshwater tank that uses HUGE chunks of gravel. they are a PAIN in the butt to clean tho and they are much less effective than regular filters. like he said, dont touch them. and i know there is a few books out there that love ugf's. but they are way outdated Link to comment
