moose12
I debate between the astrea and the stomatella. The shell is very small compared to over all length of the body. The snail moves quite fast compared to the astreas in my 20g. This one is my 7g. Any Suggestions would be great! Thanks for the help. Link to comment
Yves
Looks like stomatella to me. Link to comment
caja
No way that's an astrea. they tend to have more of a conical shell. As far as stomatella goes, might be, pic is kinda blurry. Link to comment
moose12
sorry about the pic, camera was not cooperating in terms of the focus. lets see if i can get a better one. thanks for the help so far. Link to comment
moose12
and of course the damn thing is on the back glass behind a bunch caulerpa. hmmmmm........murphy's law apparently applies to snail identification now. Link to comment
beccatech
Does he occassionally sift through the sand or does it stay on the glass all the time? Link to comment
moose12
glass and rocks mostly. the shell appears to be more flat like the back of beetle, so I guess that would make it a stomatella probably. Link to comment
