Thane
Ok, I'm looking at the PC lights. I have had plenty of fresh water tanks and well, have decided that nano reef is the way to go, looks great, but anyways... back to my question... My girlfriend has 2x15w "normal" tubes in her tank and I have an 11w PC in the nano (JBJ 12 Gal) now the 11w is SO much brighter than the 30watt. Is is 11w per tube on the PC (making it 22) or is it 11w total? I know this is a silly question, but just wondering. Link to comment
Foogoo
I'm pretty sure it's 11 total. Link to comment
MrConclusion
The JBJ nano cube has a 24 watt PC light, unless you have a version I've never seen. JBJLighting does not seem to list any other lighting options. You are right... a single 24 watt PC is brighter than two 15 watt Normal Output (NO) Fluorescents. Plus, many NO strip lights have cruddy "reflectors" which makes a big difference, too. Link to comment
MrConclusion
Ahhhh... The "11 watt" rating you're probably seeing on your JBJ nano cube is for power consumption of the water pump. The bulb is definitely 24 watts. check out http://www.jbjlighting.com/sys_nanocube.html and scroll to the spec sheet at the bottom of the page. Link to comment
