monsoon
My tank has been cycling for close to two weeks now. Today I've found some very small ( 2 mm tops ) worms flying around the water column. Also found some tiny white baby bugs on the glass, which under magnification look pretty much exactly like this: Copepods? Link to comment
caja
Sorry the pics aren't up yet, we're still working on that but here's a link to some articles about pods. http://www.nano-reef.com/identification/index.php And you are correct...pods it is. Copepods to be exact. Link to comment
monsoon
Thanks for the confirmation! I've been running the tank with a big sponge during cycling.. which is probably trapping all the little copepods as they get sucked in. Should I remove the sponge filter now? Link to comment
Quash
why not, pods arent harmful, they are good stuff for the tank Link to comment
