plkdb Posted October 25, 2003 Share Posted October 25, 2003 I cant find a supplier for southdown or any of the sister companies close by, but am curious, how risky would it be to go out on a friends boat, and just collect some clean sand from the ocean? My tank isnt set up yet, so it would be in there with it to cycle. The beaches here have very nice clean white sand. Link to comment

I'm over near Mobile and a local reefer here trucked over to Jacksonville and got a skid of southdown. I'm picking up a bag today from him. If intrested I can probally swing a bag for you too.
