au01st Posted September 26, 2009 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Ok, in the DFS version, you can see that it's mounted to the side of the tank. That means that there is an absolute lowest water level that the skimmer will work with. That skimmer floats on the surface and raises and lowers with the water, so evaporation does not show in that overflow, as the skimmer just drops until it hits the minimum level. If yours has some kind of vent then you should be alright. Link to comment
