Iphantom
I am starting a 29 gallon soon and I was wondering what the best lighting situation would be. First how many watts per gallon should there be? I was thinking of a metal halide pendant should I do one 175W, one 250W, or two pendants? What do you think? Thanks, -Matt Link to comment
MrConclusion
Go for a single 175-250 watt halide, plus a single 55-watt actinic PC fluorescent. That'll give you much better coral coloration, coral growth, and coralline algae growth compared to lighting with only a single spectrum (10,000K halide alone, for example.) Link to comment
