JimmyZtank
I'm interested in buying a CPR HOB fuge, and was wondering what exactly should I put in it? Should I use regular sand, or should I get some kind of mud that I have seen around. what do you guys recomend? how much should I put in? Should I through in some pieces of live rock, how much?? how long should i wait till i put in the macro? Most important, I have been looking for a light fixture and was wondering which one to run. thank you for any suggestions Link to comment
Crakeur
13 watt jalli pc fits over the aquafuge. nice little light. what to put in the fuge? head to inlandaquatics for their plant package. great mix of macros that are less likely to go sexual on you. Just make sure you tell them no halimeda. Calcium sucker is a waste in my opinion as it will outcompete your corals for the calcium. You can also get a good bunch of fuge critters from them or from ipsf.com pods, worms, etc. Link to comment
JimmyZtank
Crakeur, thanks for the advice, it helps alot. For ligting should i get a 50/50 bulb? I was also wondering what kind of substrate you guys prefer? I see some people just use the regular live sand some LR, and I keep hearing about miracle mud. is one better then the other? thanks for any input. Link to comment
Fant
With a HOB fuge like your talkin about.. The tall skinny ones. I wouldnt bother with a whole lot of substrate. Maybe some rock rubble for macros to attach to.. Link to comment
