Okay, probally more of a coral forum question, but since it's asked so many times in here about GSPs opening, I thought I would ask the same thing about Palyothoas.

Unlike most zoos that have opened the first day when introduced to my tank, my palyothoas take a day or two. The 3 groups I have have slowly opened up, but have since become my most consistent growers.

The reason I write something now, is that I added a rock Saturday to my tank containg both normal zooanthus sp. and palyothoas. The zoos started opening my the time my lights went off on the first day, but it's been 4 days and the palyothoas haven't opened yet.

Just curious on everyones experience, and maybe answering questions here can help others out.

...and just in case there is someone not familiar with palyothoas:

They are more reactive to stimulus that zoos IME. A slight tap on the tank, or a shadow passing over, or a dose of chemistry, and they close up instantly.

It never seems to do any harm. They come back strong in a little while, and mine are spreading like crazy.
