I say run only 2-3 hours a day to keep the the algae bloom donw from the excess nutrients available during cycle time. If you run them run them minimally until the cycle is over. Quash Posted October 16, 2003 Share Posted October 16, 2003 I ran mine on 10 hour photoperiods in my cycle, got a lil bit of hair algae and diatoms, nothin else. I agree with Physh1 mad debate, do what you feel is best, the rules in this hobby are huge gray lines Link to comment
