david Posted October 15, 2003 Share Posted October 15, 2003 in looking at members' photos and other threads, it looks like people tend to put 5-7-10 lbs of LR in a 12 gal nanocube. when I read I always see the recommendation of 1-1.5 lbs per gal. I don't think I see anything like 18 lbs of rock anywhere. does it take up too much space if you use that rule of thumb? if only the LR and LS is used for filtration, is it better to have more LR than not if you want a couple of fish eventually with the other inverts? thanks Link to comment
Quash Posted October 15, 2003 Share Posted October 15, 2003 where did you see people putting 5-10 lbs of LR, for sure put at least 12 lbs in there, more LR more filtration, you will notice it for sure if you have less LR and will prolly end up adding more. On another note some types of rock are really really light, so if you can get some super porous ass rock then maybe 10 lbs is aite. so yup, more LR is better Link to comment
