NanoBound
My yellow porites is starting to peel and only opens completely when the lights are off. I am dosing with SEACHEM Reef Complete-calcium, SEACHEM Reef Plus-vitamin/ amino acid supplement, and Live Coral Phytoplankton. My water perameters are great with weekly 10% water change. Could the lighting be the issue? I'm running only 220watt PC- 2)10,000k & 2) antinic3 plus a 28 watt 50/50 pc. Any idea?????? Forgot to add that this is a 55gl. tamk. Thanks!! Link to comment
Dave ESPI
a few possibilities. Plate-ing, linear growth ridges, Reproduction budding that is a result of a current change, and Growth that has been stimulated by such. Do you have a PH that pushed current across that coral from the Right to the Left ? It appears as the coral is "sheeting" to accomodate the current to maximize contact time, AND to expand the Lighting surface area to maximize its surface area. THEORY 2 It is trying to adapt to your tank, and hates you. J/K Give it some time. If it is fairly new, chances are it is shedding a Muchus and is rejuvinating a underneeth layer. HTH.
